April 7th, 2025, Milan – Ploom, JTI’s global heated tobacco brand*, proudly presents CONNECTED SENSATIONS at Milan Design Week 2025 – an immersive experience for adult consumers designed to spark emotions and stimulate the senses.
Following a debut with French designer Ora Ito in 2024, Ploom returns to Milan Design Week with an unforgettable new experience that embodies the brand’s unique spirit of purposeful design and sensory exploration. This year, Ploom takes sensoriality to new levels with a multi-sensorial showcase like no other featuring a blend of digital art, interactive video effects, and immersive design.
The highlight of CONNECTED SENSATIONS is a striking series of design collaborations with six artists from around the globe. These collaborations will be exclusively premiered in the presence of the artists themselves.

CONNECTED SENSATIONS is open to adult consumers from the 8th to 13th, 2025, at Via Tortona 32, right in the heart of Milan Design Week.
EXPERIENCE THE POWER OF SENSORIAL DESIGN – AN INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE LIKE NO OTHER
CONNECTED SENSATIONS invites adult consumers to traverse interconnected worlds where emotions are triggered by cutting-edge technology. This multi-sensory experience is divided into four immersive spaces.
The journey begins with a showcase of Ploom’s dedication to purposeful design, where adult consumers can explore the harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetics, coming to life through Japan’s latest Ploom Special Edition Stripe Blue by Kosuke Kawamura. Next, consumers are transported to Ploom Design House, where creative collaborations with six artists illustrate how design transcends borders and connects cultures globally. In the third space, the artists’ designs merge with Ploom’s sensorial world, offering a transformative and interactive journey that invites consumers to become part of the experience. Finally, the exhibit culminates in a space where consumers can create their personal Ploom experience by exploring Ploom’s flavor sensations and customizing their style to inspire their own unique moments of pleasure.
ARTIST COLLABORATIONS CREATING NEW PERSPECTIVES ON DESIGN
Ploom celebrates design as a bridge between the visionary works of creative minds and the brand’s sensorial expression, inviting adult consumers to immerse themselves in a cross-cultural experience. For CONNECTED SENSATIONS, Ploom collaborated with six artists to design a series of front panels. Each artist was selected for their distinctive approach to art and their shared passion for purposeful design. From Valentin Elias Renner (Germany), whose thread-and-nail technique explores global connections, to Arturo Tedeschi (Italy), whose work engages with architecture and material experimentation—each contribution offers a unique take on sensoriality. Kenji Chai (Malaysia) and Dex Fernandez (Philippines) bring in elements of urban art through their bold visual languages. The blend of contemporary and traditional styles by Philippos Theodorides (Greece) reflects on themes of identity and culture, while Tymek (Poland) shares his personal visual perspective.
Each artist responded to the same brief: “Reimagine sensoriality in your own individual style to create designs that inspire”. Ploom is proud to present this diverse and visionary collective, inviting a global audience of adult consumers to share their passion for design and sensory exploration firsthand.
